Jim
Keith has been a horseshoer and blacksmith for
close to 40 years. He developed and taught a
Farrier Science course through a vocational
school for 15 years before beginning his own
horseshoe manufacturing business.
In
the spring of 1999, Jim sold the horseshoe manufacturing
business to Greg and Sandi Hudson, but has retained
his tool manufacturing business. Jim knows his
stuff - he won the title of "World Champion
Horseshoer" at the 1991 Calgary Stampede
and has competed at other international competitions
as a member of the elite American Farriers Team.
Jim
is well-known for his therapeutic shoeing methods
for crippled horses and has presented several
seminars and lectures on the subject. With several
horseshoeing customers who ran barrels, Jim
developed the Performance Shoe to fit their
needs. However, it has caught on by others using
it for various applications of horsemanship.
